Here's some of my favorite things I saw on my trip to Budapest.
1.) Chain Bridge:

I'm a sucker for bridges. Especially ones that not only light up, but have a rich history. This one was particularly breathtaking at night.
2.) Traditional Hungarian Dinner:

Why, yes, those are wine bottles they are balancing on their heads and dancing! This picture was taken our first night in Budapest when we went to a Hungarian restaurant that had folk dancing and entertainment. They also served wine from big carafes directly into people's mouths.
3.) Budapest City View:

This is a wonderful view of the entire city. Sometimes I think things are best appreciated when you can see the entire view.
4.) Ice Skating:

This picture does not do this scene justice, but the one I took at night the first night from a moving van didn't turn out. Our first night there we took a brief tour of the city before dinner, and our driver told us to look out the window to the right to see the ice skating rink. Expecting to see a few people skating, we turned and saw throngs of people within inches of each other skating around under the lights at night. Apparently it's the biggest rink in Europe. And when it's cold enough, they open it up so you can skate under a bridge to the other side. How fun would that be?
5.) The Royal Palace and Castle Hill:

Can you believe this palace was never even lived in? I don't remember the story, even though I learned it several times on the trip, but apparently some rich snobby lady or man didn't want to live in it, since they thought Budapest was below them. Whatever, dudes. I'd live there any day.
Prague Addition will be later in the week, after I've filtered through the 1600+ pictures (yes, that was a 1 followed by a 600) better. I also need to find the one of me and a candy Michael Jackson. It must be on my husband's camera. Or I can see it among the loads of pictures on my computer screen.
